New and unsent orders (District Warehouse)

District warehouse users can create orders, as well as view unsent ones.

Add an order

As a district warehouse user, you can add orders for a site type or a site at the warehouse.

To create a new order:

  1. Log in to the district warehouse.
  2. Select Catalog > Resource Orders > Track tab.
  3. Click Add New Order. The 'New Order for' page appears.New Order for page at the District Warehouse.
  4. Enter the contact person's Name and Phone Number.
  5. Enter a Fax, Email, and Note, if desired.
  6. If the order should be shipped after a certain date, use the Ship After field to enter one or choose the date from the calendar.
  7. From the Create order for site drop-down, select a site or site type.
  8. From the Find drop-down, select the resource type or leave it as Resources to search for all resources.
  9. Type your search term in the next field.
  10. Use the in drop-down to select how to search, and then click Go.
  11. Next to the resources you need, type the number needed in the Site Requested field, and then click Select.
  12. Repeat step 8-11 for all resources you want for the current order.
  13. Do any of the following:
    • To send the order for approval, click Save & Send.
    • To save without sending, click Save.
    • To cancel the order, click Cancel.

View unsent orders

Unsent orders can be viewed at both the district warehouse and the site. Resource orders in the Unsent section are there for one of the following reasons:

  • The site created the order but only saved it. It was not sent to the district warehouse for processing.
  • The district warehouse returned (Revive) the order to the site for changes.

In either case, the order cannot be processed until it is sent to the district warehouse and appears in the Submitted section on the Resource Orders page.

The district warehouse is restricted to viewing the order, and adding or viewing notes associated with the order.

To view an unsent order:

  1. Log in to the district warehouse.
  2. Select Catalog > Resource Orders > Track tab.
  3. Next to the order you want to view, click View icon..
  4. Make applicable updates to the order.
  5. To send for processing, click Save & Send.
